Fasching 2007, am Rathausplatz

The set-up: After class gets out, Julian asks me if I want to go to the Rathaus (City Hall). I didn't really know why I would want to go there because normally it is just a building that looks nice. I agreed to go, to find out as we got closer that there was some sort of festival. It was awesome. Enjoy the pictures.

The Band

The Band, People. This is called "Rathausplatz" which means "City Hall Plaza"

The first of many strangely clothed people

uhh...

And people are afraid of clowns?!

If these aren't the kind of things that send kids to therapy, I don't know what does.

That's the Rathaus. It's really a pretty awesome building.

Wait, so it's a chair AND a roto-tiller? Where do I sign?

People hanging out the windows of the Rathaus.

A Mouse with some nifty contraption.

Apparently his job today is to try and steal people's hats.

...and shoes

This kid was actually pretty into the whole thing. See, he's leaning forward, towards the weird looking stranger.

That or he's trying to escape

We learned to ALWAYS take things from strangers.

Yes, that's me holding a beer that I got for free and was able to drink in the middle of the street.
Don't worry mom, I'm not an alcoholic.

That picture of the kid being held up is awesome. It's the stuff Photoshop contests are born from....
